Emily Irene VanCamp was originally looking to become a dancer but after a visit to her sister Katie's set on Ladies Room, she became more inclined to act. As she began taking acting classes, Emily VanCamp also got guest spots on television series in Canada. A few of the television shows she starred in include Do You scared of the Dark? Radio Active and Dice. VanCamp achieved a major career breakthrough when he was tapped to play regular Sam Dolan in WB's horror show, the mystery Glory Days. The show was cancelled after just nine episodes, despite getting positive review from the public. However, she was successful in securing another role as Amy Abbott on Everwood. Her performance resulted in her being nominated for an Young Artist Award nominee and for four Teen Choice Awards.
