Lauren and Markie

Lauren Ash-Morgan, the Co-Artistic Director for the new theater company Speech of Fire and served as the Artistic Director of Seoul Shakespeare Company (SSC) from 2014 to 2019 having been an actor as well as a board member of SSC from 2011. Additionally, she was a part of as a member of the SSC as the producer, costume/set design composer/music director and coach for text while serving as Artistic Direction. Though generally leading from within the ensemble of actors at the end of her time, she made her first appearance as a director (and Lighting Designer) in the SSC's King Lear. She has worked in several other series besides acting. As a child she grew up in Walnut Creek with her siblings as well as poet Marylee Post. She was a student at Las Lomas High School where she was a cheerleader. After a brief stint at Pomona College, she graduated from Lewis & Clark College. Post wedding, she was married Stephen Knox in the past. Michael A. Ross (actor/writer) has been Post's husband since 1982. The couple is blessed with two daughters. Post's performance as an actress, wife and mother is admired by many.
